HAPPY B'DAY TOH SZEMIN!ok! Shall blog about THE EXCITEMENT I mentioned in my prev prev entry! I was actually excited about Szemin's birthday surprise! Haha!
Woke up at around 7am in the morning cos we're supposed to meet at Layting's house at 8am. But in the end I was late cos I was trying to complete my letters (haha yeah, actually I didn't oversleep. :P) Poor Chewfei had to wait at the playground cos she didn't know which unit Layting lives in and Layting overslept. Lols.
By the time I reached Layting's house, they were in the midst of baking.
To Szemin: Blame me if the muffins are too salty. Cos I added slightly more salt. HAHA! Our VERY first attempt was a failure cos Layting remembered the wrong temperature, so the muffins were slightly overbaked. No choice, all of us had to be guinea pigs. Fortunately, they tasted very nice and it's crunchy cos it's slgihtly burnt! Haha! I think it's a/an challenge/art to pour the mixture and nutella into the silicon cups. Ok, I've to admit that I suck at baking and cooking (while Chewfei seems to be talented in baking.) Haha! I made two attempts. In my first attempt, I filled the cup with too much mixture. It expanded so much in the oven that I actually overflowed out of the cup. So I added less mixture in my second attempt. I thought it'll be nicer if the nutella and the mixture were evenly mixed, so I mixed so much that the top surface was very rough. Ok fine, I think it's quite out of shape too! Oh well, at least Szemin ate my second muffin this morning and said it's nice!
Moral of the story: Never judge a book by its cover. Whereas Chewfei's had the best appearance. Cos her muffins have smooth surfaces and she used the chocolate chips to decorate her muffins. Ok lah, Layting is not bad too! (better than me) Her first muffin was quite cool cos she wrote a letter 'S' on top!

Ok, so here are the three surprises of the day!
Surprise #1:Appearing at Szemin's house with a box of muffins!
After baking, it was alrdy around 10.40am. Szemin was supposed to meet at my place at 11pm to 'DO MATH'. So we quickly rushed over to her place. Chewfei and Layting were worried that we'll meet her on the way. But I confidently told them that it wouldn't happen. Unfortunately, I received a msg from Szemin, saying that she has left her house and she's going to buy a pen. We freaked out cos we were supposed to surprise her by appearing at her doorstep. So I quickly called her house hoping that her mother would answer and help us lure Szemin home. Lols! As I was calling, I turned back and SAW SZEMIN! I was so shocked that I shouted, "OMG! SZEMIN!!!!!!!!!" I think Layting and Chewfei were shocked too. We quickly ran to her and said, "SURPRISE~!" LOLS! I hope Szemin was really surprised!
Surprise #2:A yellow slogan tee which says, "You are lucky today cos I happen to be single!" Lol!
We went to her void deck to eat the muffins and then we presented our second surprise, the slogan tee. Each of us have a slogan tee.

Surprise #3:a present that Sheila made for Chewfei, Layting and Szemin!
Next, we went up to Szemin's house and I gave them a present that I've made for them--- personalized calendars. Actually I'm most excited about this, cos I've been waiting for the right time to give them this present. It's a 2009 calendar with a collage of us (mostly their unglam photos HAHA!). It was meant to be their Christmas gift, but I couldnt finish cos I kept improvising it. Haha! The final product was very different from the original one. I prefer the original one cos it's more personalized, but I chose to give them the final one as it looks more artistically appealling. As I was determined to show them the contents that were sacrificed in the process of modification, I really showed them the whole process of making the calendars along with explanations. I think my explanation was quite naggy. -.- Anyway, silly Chewfei said she was almost touched to tears! LOL! After presenting all our surprises, we went to watch 'Millionaire's First Love'. Another depressing Korean romance movie. Though the plot was rather predictable, the ending was still quite touching.
Layting and Szemin: Thank me for my crappy comments! If I didn't spoil the atmosphere, I bet you guys would have broken into tears! LOL!

When all three of them bit the fishball, the oil (i think) would squirt out. It was very funny! Luckily it didn't happen to me! (HAHA SO IM THE MOST GENTLE GIRL AMONG THE FOUR OF US!)
After lunch, we went to play monopoly.
Layting was very lucky cos she managed to buy most of the 'lands'. I think I was the most unlucky one as I kept getting into jail! Layting left in the middle of the game (for the next birthday party). So we bought all her 'lands'. Lols! I was being mean by putting her into jail after she left. Unfortunately, I ended up in jail right after that. Retribution. Lol!

In the end, Chewfei was the overall winner! *cheers* Then we chatted for a while before we left home while Szemin proceeded to her next b'day celebration. Haha!
